The Death Throes of COVID-19?
Will there be a COVID 22?
With the unwarranted coverage of what is happening in Ukraine dominating the news cycle, we barely get to hear about COVID anymore. Honestly, I wouldn’t know it was still a thing except for when I go to the supermarket. There they are, the people who refuse to give it up. The victims of mass formation sporting their cloth masks will probably be with us forever. I predicted at the end of 2020 that masks would be permanent with some people. They’re more than just a fashion now; they’re a signal, a political statement, a talisman to ward off evil spirits. I’m sorry, some were meant to go the whole-hog.
A couple examples that recently came across my Twitter feed are beauts! Check out this genius:
He’s not trolling. Here’s a video of him from 12/2021 testing different masks for teaching purposes because of course he’s an “educator.” Look, the idiot can do what he wants but this stuff is pretty funny to me and at this point I find any excuse to laugh.
This next example is particularly delicious due to their hypocrisy, as you’ll see. This is just an example of someone looking for attention. But she is willing to hold people to standards she isn’t willing to apply to herself so she gets put in my evil category.
Except, she doesn’t.
This isn’t OUTDOORS. She is in a temporary(?) restaurant on the sidewalk of a NYC street. I’ve eaten in one of these. They are enclosed. Restaurants moved their seating to the streets and enclosed them. This is “safety theater’ and one has to ask what was the purpose of it from the start.
With all of the Ukraine insanity monopolizing the narrative it’s hard to know what the future of COVID is minus the horrific results on humanity that are starting to be counted.
Be ever vigilant because nefarious people were fed excellent data on what humans are willing to put up with. In most cases, it appears the same people who had “war on COVID” propaganda as their avatars on social media have just exchanged it for the “pro-Ukraine” message being promoted by the Neoliberal World Order. Those bad actors have taken note of that. We will win but the fight is ongoing. It starts in YOUR mind.
